Damir Doma was born in Croatia but grew up in southern Germany near the lake Chiemsee where his mother has a clothing atelier. He calls his mother an influential person in his own development.

Biography: Early life Doma studied fashion in Munich and Berlin. He graduated in 2004 with magna cum laude from the l'Ecole Supérieure des Arts et techniques de la Mode fashion school in Munich and Berlin. After his graduation Damir Doma moved to Belgian Fashion Capital Antwerp and started to work within the group of designers Ann Demeulemeester and later Raf Simons.

The Damir Doma Label: In 2006, after meeting Stephan Wembacher, the CEO of the international fashion group Paper Rain, Damir Doma joined the group and a label bearing his own name was launched in the same year. He debuted a Menswear collection at the Paris Fashion Week in June 2007. Doma's style has been described 'intellectual' and 'poetic'. International celebrities such as Lenny Kravitz, Bruce Springsteen and Robert Pattinson are amongst the labels customers.

In 2009, the first Damir Doma Store opened in a hidden street in the Parisian art and fashion district Marais. In the same year, Doma launched his first fragrance in collaboration with the New York based Six Scents Parfumes.
